First Person to Enter Jannah

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “I will come to the gate of Jannah and ask for it to be opened. The gatekeeper will ask, ‘Who are you?’ I will say, ‘Muhammad.’ The gatekeeper will say, ‘I was ordered not to open the gate for anyone else before you.’” [Muslim]

The first of mankind to enter Jannah will be Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). Nobody undertook greater hardships than Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), only so that the maximum number of people might enter Jannah. Therefore, in Allah’s perfect justice, he (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) will be the first to enter through the doors of Jannah.
