Lawful Means

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah loves those believers who labour to earn a living through lawful means.” [Tibrani]

Earning a lawful living is not easy, especially when one has dependents to feed. When a man can earn from any of the multiple Haraam means before him, but he avoids all these forbidden paths only to secure the pleasure of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala), he can rest assured that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) is not heedless of the effort he is making. Nobody is as appreciative as Allah. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) notices him and loves him for it.
