Hadith Explanation

Children of Muslims in Jannah

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The children of the Muslims are in Paradise, being looked after by the Prophet Ibraheem (alaihis salaam).” [Ahmad]

A Muslim parent should not grieve excessively on the death of a beloved child, because their child has entered Jannah and is being taken care of by Ibraheem (alaihis salaam) and Saarah. [Abu Naeem] These Muslim children will be handed back to their parents on the Day of Resurrection [Ad-Daylami] and will hold on to the hands or clothes of their parents and not let go until Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) admits them together to Jannah. [Muslim]

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) not only provides wonderful care-givers in the best place to our children that die while minor, but also informs us about it in advance, so that we don’t grieve about their fate. Subhan-Allah!
