Chopping Down Shade Trees

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Those who cut down shade trees will be thrown in Hell on their heads.” [Bayhaqi]

The value of shade trees is felt in deserts where it could mean the difference between life and death. We should be careful not to harm people or destroy the things that benefit them without good reason.
