Displaying Satisfaction at a Muslim’s Troubles

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Do not show joy at the misfortune of your brother, lest Allah have mercy on him and afflict you with misfortune.” [Tirmidhi – Hasan hadith]

We should always be fearful of displeasing Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). To be happy at the misfortune of one of Allah’s creatures is asking for trouble. Nobody should take their blessings for granted, but should always be thankful to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) and do one’s best to please Him so that He grants us His blessings for eternity. Aameen.
